About us

Our history

The artisanal cured meat production of Arnad Le Vieux began in the tiny town of Arnad, in 1998. This mountain town benefits from an excellent microclimate ideal for curing meat and is rich in aromatic herbs used for seasoning, like rosemary, sage and bay which grow in the wild there.

Through the years, Arnad Le Vieux mastered the art of making the traditional cured meat specialities of the Val D’Aosta region and in 2011 they partnered with another producer of high quality ham near Milano to create a selection of products following nearly forgotten old recipes. This is how “Quelli del CUORE D”ARNAD” was born. This range delivers the best of both companies and includes products like: the Arnàcotto, a high quality ham with a ‘heart’ of Lardo d’Arnad, the Smoked Lard and the Lard d’Arnad Shank.
